A call for proposals to support the development of European Strategic Cluster Partnerships in the area of dual use should be released in the third quarter of 2017. Its aim is to support cross-border links between European defence-related and civil industrial clusters and to develop joint strategies for dual-use technologies, products and services towards non-EU countries. Meanwhile, the “Cluster Go International” call for proposals for all other areas was published on 22 March. It is designed to promote Europe’s clusters in the global marketplace and will support a wide range of activities of new or existing European Strategic Cluster Partnerships (ESCP) in various emerging industries, including earth observation applications. Supported activities include partnership-building, training and coaching, legal advice, publicity and market analysis and the identification of opportunities in strategic countries such as Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, Mexico and the USA.
