The European Commission will soon launch its Preparatory Action on Defence Research (PADR) to test the feasibility of using EU funding to create added-value in defence research and technology. The Commission has set up an Advisory Group for PADR and seeks experts to join it.
The Advisory Group will provide consistent guidance to the Commission during the preparation of PADR’s three annual work programmes (2017-2019). Focused on providing technical advice, the profile of its members and associations should reflect a track record in areas such as research, manufacturing or the procurement of military products or services, and competence in providing consultancy services to the defence sector. Experience at the European or international level would be considered an advantage.
The deadline for applications has been extended. Interested parties must file their signed applications by no later than 15 May 2017.
