European Commission/EDA event to review new materials R&D for dual use

The European Commission and the European Defence Agency (EDA) will jointly sponsor an information exchange and match-making event on new materials, research and structures on 7 November at CDMA – DG RTD in Brussels.
The event will feature an exchange of information on projects developed by the EDA and the European Commission in the field of nanotechnologies. In particular it will compare the research agendas of Horizon 2020 and of the defence agency in nanotechnologies and advanced materials, manufacturing and processing.
Consortium representatives of FP7, Horizon 2020 and EDA projects will present results achieved by their research teams. Opportunities for dual-use R&D teaming and matchmaking will also be offered.
The goal is to identify the reciprocal benefits of such research for commercial applications and defence capabilities.
