ENDR members contributing to the European Defence Skills Partnership
07 June 2018
ENDR team
A number of our ENDR members are also on board of the European Defence Skills Partnership – EDSP. The EDSP will be launched on 19 June at the
High Level Conference on Skills in Defence organised by the European Commission in Brussels. CEOs from major European defence companies will participate in the panels (see
programme).
The EDSP is a Commission initiative that
brings together industry, academia, authorities and innovation, research and vocational organisations to foster cooperation in building skills for the European defence industry. It aims to share knowledge and best practices on skills for developing the European defence skills strategy and its implementation.
Members participating in meetings during 2018 will have the opportunity to contribute in specific sub-sectors according to their own interest and expertise (air, naval, land, space, cyber etc.), but also address particular aspects, such as education and training, the use of the European Structural and Investment Funds for building skills, and synergies with relevant initiatives and instruments – including the strengthening of the knowledge triangle.
The initiative is funded by the COSME instrument. Funding opportunities coming up for the implementation of the skills strategy will be announced at the conference.
