MecaTech is a Competitiveness Cluster in mechanical engineering based in Isnes, Belgium. MecaTech’s goal is to increase business activity and employment in the Walloon Region. This is achieved through a network of 291 members, all of which are involved in the development of collaborative industrial innovation projects (more than 113 projects so far, generating €316 million in investments). Members include large companies, SMEs, universities as well as research and training centres.
MecaTech works together with Skywin, the Belgian Aerospace Cluster, and NCP Wallonie to meet the emerging technological needs of the defence sector in the Walloon Region. The objective is to position Walloon entities so they can take advantage of new opportunities linked to federal and European defence projects, in addition to ensuring the necessary links with R&D projects executed at the regional Walloon level.
