Normandie Aeroespace

Advanced materials, Aeronautics, Aerospace, Electronics, Energy

Focused on energy, electronics and advanced materials for the defence and aerospace sectors, Normandie Aerospace (NAE) brings together some 110 organisations under its roof. These form a regional network of large industrial groups, airports, a military base, SMEs, research laboratories and universities. Together they represent employment of 14,200 personnel and contribute EUR 2.2 billion to Normandy’s economy.

Half of NAE members’ activities fall in the defence and dual-use areas. The cluster promotes these with strategies specifically geared to dual-use development and to support SMEs and larger organisations regarding market opportunities, both within Normandy and abroad. NAE’s regional strategic approach is also linked to France’s national strategy for smart specialisation.

The cluster works closely with Normandy’s academic institutions for the training and recruitment of talent for the region’s defence and aerospace industries.

Finally, NAE assists its members with quality certification for their defence and dual-use goods and services, while promoting the latter at international events such as the Paris Air Show and Eurosatory exhibition.
